The moment a finish line breaks
The PACE RISE mark is not a picture but a scene. As an athlete crosses the finish line, a single bar splits at the exact angle of the leaning torso.
The Symbol — Break
One vertical bar, cut at 55°, the upper piece pushed up along the cut. No curves. Two elements.
Finish line
The vertical bar is the finish line. Everything on the track converges on this one line — the pace, the system and the event PACE RISE builds all become results here.
Break
The cut is the angle of a torso leaning into the line. A broken line is a broken record.
Rise
The upper piece sits higher than where it started. When a record breaks, the baseline moves up. That is RISE.
A broken line, and the piece that moved above it. No explanation needed: a record falls, the bar moves up.

Color — taken from the track
The red-brown of a tartan track, the white of lane lines, and black. Not imagined colors — the ones actually laid down in the stadium.
Track Black
Type and ground. The track at night.
Line White
Lane lines. Paper white.
Tartan
Tartan track. The moment of the break.
Most of the palette is black and white. Tartan is used only where it matters — like the moment a record breaks.
